2 dollars

I was doing some research for a talk I was giving on the widows mite

I found that most of the world lives on 10.00 a day, and half lives on 2.50 a day.
Also in a 2007 report the average American lived on 54.00 a day.
Compared to the world, we in America, live pretty well.
I wonder if I could live on 2 dollars for a day. Well that’s the plan for tomorrow.
I don’t plan on spending over two dollars. Not sure if i can but I dont want to be rich on this side of eternity and beg on the other side.

Counsumerism

How do you fight against consumerism
•Giving – time, treasure, talents, touch.
When you give you take the spotlight off you
    Consumerism is all about you.
•Buy things for their usefulness rather than their status.
•Reject anything that is producing an addiction in you.
•Learn to enjoy things without owning them.
•Develop a deeper appreciation for the creation.
•Look with a healthy skepticism at all “buy now, pay later” schemes.
•Reject anything that breeds the oppression of others.
•Shun anything that distracts you from seeking first the kingdom of God.

It seems G-d is more interested with love, faithfulness, purity, endurance, obedience, repentance then He is with your works.

It always amazes me to read the events in revelation.
