Day 13 - Reading thru the NT in 30 days

A final few thoughts from the Gospel according to Luke

Ch 21- 24

• Give out of need to trust G-d

• This is a re-accruing theme - Don’t be deceived

• Could we get stuck in tradition to the point that we would holler crucify Him

• or could I be a follower that is hiding and denying

• Joseph was good and just, this is how we should be seen to the community

We are together
• Put away that childish attitude
• Above all else – LOVE
• Speak in a language others can understand
• What does the grace of g-d declare you are
• It’s not the blindness of the eyes that hinder you, it’s the blindness in your MIND
• You reflect the glory of G-d – WOW
• My aim is to please G-d
• Appearing before the Judgment Seat of Christ sounds intimidating
• Christ is the turnaround point
• You are called to ministry reconciliation
• Does your zeal stir anything
• Weakness = strength in the Kingdom of Heaven
• We love to examine others and put others to the test but the bible encourages us to Examine yourself – test your self

foundations

We are at the end of a foundations series – This Sunday (2/28/10) we will be exploring the topic of repentance. I wanted to add a few thoughts about this large topic.

Our key thought is – Repentance is not so much about what you have done but rather what you can become.

Few scripture

Acts 11:18 When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.
• Repentance leads to life

Acts 3:19 "Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;

• Repentance leads to refreshing

G-d leads you to repentance for a life that is refreshing
